I recently updated my Passport to 10.3.3. Through Bell. To my surprise, my device which has for all its 2 yrs +, ran flawlessly before the update, is now doing strange things: Faster battery drains, screen blackouts when swapping from one app to another, my Hub flickers, and at times my SD card is not recognized. I love my Passport, and such that I purchased a second one when I heard about the NIAP certification. The new Passport is my 5th BlackBerry purchase, so call me a happy customer.... but not with the performance of the update!

Regarding Hub flicker, do you have Face10 installed?

Can you also post a screenshot of the battery and CPU tabs of Device monitor?

    .

Uninstall Face 10 then reboot. You can install Face 10 again later if you want to. There is a well known issue with 10.3.3 and Face10

Same issue on mine. I removed Face10, re-booted my Passport, and the battery drain continues. (It's been a few hours.)

Most noticeable issue is the battery stamina since upgrading to 10.3.3.1436. Before the update I was getting almost 2 days on a full charge. Now I am getting a day at the most, full charge to start the day at 7 am and need to charge it by 10-11 pm.
I upgraded over 2 weeks ago and I am a heavy to moderate user. Mostly emails, texts, browsing, fast tube and no games. I don't use many apps, only have TSN, Crackberry, Wikipedia, Mockit and Photostudio pro. I use the browser for anything else.
Battery life has definitely decreased since the upgrade but can't find any reason as to why as I have not installed any new apps since then. Oh well what can you do, the Passport is still an amazing phone, way better than any Android or Apple slab out there!

Your Hub CPU usage seems high, is it using a lot of battery as well? What Hub enabled apps do you have installed?

I have Face10 which I just re-installed, but I haven't booted it. Blaq (notifications are turned off), Twitter for BlackBerry notifications come through, Messenger for Face10 (it isn't in the Hub though), Android Instagram (notifications are scarce), LinkedIn, then all the usual Hub services.

I've never seen the hub take so much battery. You have something messing up.
Reboot your device first to find out if it helps

I rebooted my phone after I uninstalled Face10. It seems to have gotten better in the last hour. I'm only down to 6% now, almost an hour later. I've been waiting for my phone to die completely before I recharge it.

This is NOT a good idea. To keep a battery in optimum condition, try to never let it get below 15-20%. This is very hard to avoid, but the fewer times it goes below 20% the longer and more healthy your battery will be.

I am a loyal BlackBerry customer. Going 11 years now. But with the last update I installed through Rogers on my Passport, I have had issues I havn't had before. Fastube errors, Hub flickered (which is fixed due to deletion of Face 10), battery seems to drain a little more and now... the biggest part... my Passport doesn't recognize my Bluetooth from my new Honda.

    Sigh...

Btw can someone help with the Bluetooth issue? I desperately need to do hands free calling due to my work and personal reasons. Of course safety is paramount.

Fastube error is also happening to 10.3.2.

My battery seems to be doing better now. We'll see how it does from a full charge. I've occasionally experienced a FastTube error as well, but it has never persisted. It just happens on some boots of the app. I thought perhaps it was a bug in the app.

This what I found, my phone started to slow down as well. Do a security wipe {after a full back up}. The let the phone install a clean OS then reinstall all other apps. Now my phone is back to flawless.

So do you mean bugged, as in hacked by the NSA, GCHQ, Chinese government, Russian government and other assorted douchebags? Or buggered as in fried, screwed up, slower etc? Mine is neither - as far as I know, it could be bugged of course.

The flickering Hub is still on mine. I removed Face10 a couple days ago, still have Messenger for Face10. The Hub flickers for about 15 seconds before I can use it again. Really annoying when you're looking back for a specific e-mail or text message.
