Will there be one on the Passport? Will the chipset allow for the OS to provide users with one, unlike my Z10? I'd really like an FM radio.

I use nobex radio on my z10.

If I'm not mistaken, there is no fm in the leaked spec of the passport.

I've previously used it on my Z10 but it's inefficient in terms of my 2GB data limit and my battery

To my believe (I could be wrong), there is a FM radio cause I've asked on Inside BlackBerry blogs recently. You'll find the answer of the author ( BB employee) just below my FM radio question.

thaaaat is nice! Let's hope FM drains less battery than radio app...but for sure it will be easier on the data.

If it's like my Z30 I have been listening to the radio for about 9.5hrs unplugged and only 24% of battery used. Seems like it uses less than when on standby. Wifi & 4G lte was still on, with light email/fb/cb

FM tuner works great. You just need to plug in headphones to use it, they act as the antenna.

Yes the FM receiver works great. I plug in one of those small powered speakers. The cord is long enough to act as the antenna.

Use it weekly when I walk in the early mornings. When my favorite pod cast has already been listened to the fm radio is a good fall back.

Apparently it's turned off for me in Ontario.

Guessing I'm one of those who has an administrator who wants me to use my data plan?

I did remove the SIM. The radio does not show up on the BlackBerry music app - as it did on my Z30.

Interesting fact is I only upgraded to the PassPort three weeks ago. Do not believe the rules have changed with my administrator - maybe it's Bell Mobility?

I do miss the OTA FM radio. It does have it function!
