    If your Passport is unlocked and you get a nano-SIM when in Japan, it should work just fine. What particular concerns do you have?

    My concern is with regards to Japan's cellular network. I heard they run on a different band from North America and the rest of the world. True?

    I've just been to Japan with my UK imported Passport. Worked flawlessly. I don't think the US operates on different bands.

    It does work in Japan. You can get a rental sim card from companies like OCN Mobile One and others.

    It will run on Japan's Network. I was there last December and my Passport worked even the LTE worked.

    After searching for several years I now found Easygo Japan. They rent out a SIM for the passport that works with data and voice. Tested two weeks ago .
