abroad, in a couple of different hotels.... and again, trouble with connecting my passport to the wifi AT EVERY place, and it always lost the connection, trying to reconnect but it always lost the connection again and again.... in comparison, my iPad had no problems getting connected and it did not lose the connection, it just stayed connected to the wifi. whats the reason for that?

i had the same problems with the q10 and i am now done with blackberry! if they can't manage such a simple thing like Wi-Fi connection they don't deserve to remain on the market.

    bye bye blackberry, hello iphone!

PS: I will never use a device that runs android!!!!

Bye. Even if your passport was not working you had your ipad so you were still connected but personally never had a problem. Only weird thing I have had happen is using my Q10 or classic as a hotspot not one of my Samsung products will hook up to the WiFi it's really weird

Never had a problem with that traveling around NA and EU. You must be holding it wrong. Get used to that statement when you move to iPhone.

Yup, no problems here. Rogers customer here in Canada and when I go to the States, Rogers teams up with AT&T and I have no problems with AT&T. Bye, bye! Love my Big Red and I would never use Android too......or iPhone.

I've never had a problem using wifi with my Passport Silver Edition. Maybe you forgot to click 'login' from your browser? Who knows. But hey if you don't want your Passport I would gladly take it from you!

Often Blackberry devices won't connect because the certificates are invalid or not trusted. Apple devices are less strict and connect anyway without warning.
But even iPhones and iPads have trouble connecting to some public Wifi, At work we have a public network with authentication but no freaking way to connect an idevice while my Passport connects without any issue.

    Op,

Have you used technology before? I figure you have since another device connects to the same network then it's the device. Always check software settings first. As in disable 802.11N switch to G if kit then b but also for each keep to the more commonly used 802.11 using 2.4Ghz.

    Troubleshoot effectively.

I think, I think, there is a thread for people ditching their BlackBerry for another brand... no need to create a new thread just to say the same... except of course that you did it because you need the attention...

Never had a Wi-Fi issue. Actually my BlackBerry Passport starts connected to Wi-Fi better than my Android and better than the iPhone's in the house.

to make it perfectly clear: i still think that the passport is superior to the iphone - especially the hub and the keyboard. But i want a reliable phone that does not cause me a headache when i travel abroad where i totally depend on the wifis offered to me.

Well. If you want to connect to untrusted wifi access points... be my guest and use your idevice but don't complain when all your logins and passwords are snooped of the line.

Just buy a prepaid data card for a few bucks or wait for good wifi and connect to those.

Do a factory reset after doing a back up and see if the problem still persists.
