    I tried uninstalling BB desktop software and reinstalling it, no luck. The computer recognizes it as a storage device but nothing will show up on the device manager or link.

    Try downloading the newest blend, it has some extra drivers you may need.

    Try a hard reset on your passport , and refresh your PC.

    A hard reset is like refreshing your PC you don't lose anything,

    hold your volume up and down buttons in together until you see the BB logo.

    Still no luck. It seems to start downloading the driver while the device is booting and then says "device unplugged" even though I haven't touched it. I tried 2 different cables for this. Any other suggestions?

    I FIXED IT!!! For anyone having this problem, try turning off usb mass storage on your device and see it the drivers begin to install.

    Lol well I didn't think you had that on. I only turn on when needed.
