    The charging port on my passport is badly messed up. I plug it in and I get a message something about a surge detected and it shuts down the charger itself.
    My device is now completely dead. Is there any way to fix the busted charging port?
    I took it to one place to repair and he said he thought the port was like other blackberry devices but the passport is different. I desperatley need my phone on, where can I get a replacement charging port for a blackberry passport?
    I have a sqw100-1 so wireless charging is not an option. Any help is greatly appreciated.

    It's integrated into the motherboard. You can't replace it. See YouTube. Search Passport disassembly.

    It can be replaced (desoldered) with hot air soldering gun...

    If you come to Shanghai China, it is easy to repair and cheap as 100RMB aroud 16USD.
