Looks like a lot of pressure was applied on the screen. Time to get it replaced.

No falls that I know of. It started last weekend I remember it was getting really really hot and it started doing this afterwards.

'really really hot' is obviously not good! Maybe the heat has damaged the flex cable that connects the screen.
If it was mine, I would be tempted to take the back off and maybe just disconnect the screen and reconnect it.

Could be a problem with the screen, the connector, or the motherboard.
The first two are more likely. Any contact with moisture/ falls?
You could reseat the cables, but do note that opening up the device may lead to the screen adhesive not sticking properly.

By any chance you've charged your passport with a different charging cable/adaptor? Just a thought.. cause you said it got 'really really hot' and somehow the heat might've melted whatever that is inside that's causing the screen to act weirdly.

The screen has to be taken off from the front.

But the flex cables are accessed from the back

I had the same problem with my PB screen. Took it in to a shop to fix it and the technician said it was the screen connectors. I too dont recall dropping my PB or even giving it a sudden jolt. Not sure how it happened. Hope you sort out your screen without too much trouble.

Must be a wiring issue. I just turned on my PP after a week and it is working fine. After using a Classic for two weeks it is weird typing on this kb.

    typical screen failure.
had the same in mine when I purchased it second hand
New screen for $67 from aliexpress and i am good to go again. In my case the white lines appeared quite often, not every time though. But i did have about 30% of right side of the screen insensitive to touch as well

I had that happen on a device once, it overheated with the screen on while connected to the charger and the screen went back to normal once it cooled down.
