What exactly are PIM services and how do Lower the use percentage and extend my battery life?

I've deleted Skype which was killing my batt.

Now to attack the high PIM use.

    What is it?

My screen use is high too... what brightness levels are most of you using? 1/3 power?

    Thanks,

PIM services syncs contacts, emails,... etc. So it's normal for it to work a lot in the first days after you setup a phone or upgrade the OS.

Maybe you had just a restart. Usually the CPU usage and pim are high when fresh restart. My screen brightness is at 50% BlackBerry default.

First couple of days on a new device or if new OS loaded it spends a lot of time syncing. I usually load a new OS at night and leave it alone to sync.

Just an FYI, if the device is in bedside mode, it pauses syncing, so it will start again later, so it's best to leave it in normal mode the first few days to allow it to complete all sync activity
