Here is a review from Windowscentral:

Should you buy the Lenovo Thinkpad X1 Carbon? | Windows Central

I like the look of Dell XPS 13 personally, but I don't want to give up my Vaio Z yet!

was thinking about it , but need matter screen and proper keyboard ... maybe sounds too old school but ... had a looks at few reviews of XPS 13 - looks like a nice option , but not sure what wins in : keyboard/camera position/fingerprint scan vs smaller from factor/chaeper

I also use a Surface Pro 3 and love it. The keyboard still isn't stiff like an actual laptop but it is 100% better than the version 1&2. I can easily use it on my lap and on the go. The any angle kick stand is a huge improvement. When in my office I have the Surface dock that adds two more monitors external hard drive speakers and keyboard. Really is a versatile machine.

    Dell xps 13 2015 signature edition (i5maxspecqhd+)

Came from using a surface pro one for last two and a half years.

    Both r great.

Blend works well, but the high res monitor does have issues with scaling issues.

What laptop do you use to complement your passport ?
Interesting question: for keyboard lovers one of the best (and traditional) option is the Thinkpad notebooks. I have the T400 series with the chiclete keyboard. If needed also include there a HP RPN calculator like HP42S or the popular HP12c. Great KBD XP.

I actually find the Passport to be a decent laptop replacement.

Instead, I built a beastly PC and have decided to forego a semi-powerful laptop and or a webcentric notebook. So a Passport and a Desktop is it for me. My work requires a powerful computer, however.

Right now I'm using the Q10, but found the Passport to be the better emailing/communication device (I prefer it to a laptop for email).

Surface Pro 3 - but really, the Passport leaves the house, Surface typically stays at home. I do like my Surface but I don't find it necessary to take out of the house very much, except maybe on a trip if going somewhere for a few days.

Really? Wow, how did you manage to create a full function of excel worksheet on passport? Or merging data from word, excel to powerpoint using passport?

I use the Thinkpad X-1 Carbon and feel the keyboard is the best in class just like the Blackberry keyboards. These are very rugged machines built to last and with the 4th gen I7 processor, you get a powerful machine with amazing battery life.
I also use a Thinkpad tablet running Windows 8.1, but still pick up my Passport most of the time.
