Waking up the mobile with a swipe to display lockscreen is having a defect after the update. It work only on the left hand side of the screen to wakeup. It doesn't work at all when you do on the right side of the screen. Tried multiple times, even with a reboot.

True!!! For right hand you have to swipe many times

You have to swipe in the middle of the screen.
Mine works fine, as usual.
Perhaps to reboot the phone

Here swipe wake-up working only in the middle of the screen, I mean exactly in the bottom in middle, from left or right isn't working
