Shouldn't be any problem, they should give you one free of charge. I've gone from regular sim to micro sim for a couple of phones and they didn't charge me anything.

I have had a hit or miss with this per person in the store. I believe their official policy is a new sim is $10, but I have only been charged once out of the 10 or so sim card changes I have made in the last few years. But if you are getting a change for a phone most of the time they will give it to you free even if the phone isn't sold/officially supported by them.

I'm not in L.A., but I'm planning to move from VZM to TMo but I need wifi calling since my home is in a semi-rural area that doesn't get great coverage from TMo.

So my question is, why won't an unlocked Passport (i.e.: Amazon) get wifi calling?

Tmo's current policy is to only allow wifi-calling on models they support. So, any 100-3 version of the Z10 (branded or not) will work. Z30 will not work because they never supported it. Currently,, they do not support Passport.

You will need to get a nano SIM card. They are $10+ tax at any T-Mobile store or you have to cut your current SIM card to fit. So far new SIM card works fine.

You won't get wifi calling on phones that TMO doesn't support. Therefore the Passport = no wifi calling.

Just used a T-Mobile pay as you go sim in mine while in the States this evening, and it worked great.

Can you cut a micro down to a nano like you can from regular to micro? T-Mobile wanted to charge me for a new SIM when I upgraded my son to his Z10, but they had a tool that would cut his current SIM down for free so we just did that. I'm hoping this Visa device comes out soon. Still not sold on the Passport because I have an AppRadio in my car and I'm not sure if unit would out info to the screen correctly like my Z10 can.
