I can hold the app down and then delete it from my screen but that process only removes the shortcut from the screen. Right?

    It deletes the app.

Unless of course, you are on OS 10.3.2.2876 or 10.3.2.2888 and haven't updated the faulty Android Runtime.

What faulty runtime are you speaking of?

Looks like something that might happen depending on your update method

If you're referring to the Runtime bug, it doesn't matter how you update. If you are on 10.3.2.2876 (2836) or 10.3.2.2888 (2848), then you will have it.
