Every time I try to play videos such or gifs such as on youtube, I get the media error "There was an error retrieving, media metadata information. This media can't be played."

Try restarting the phone, or even do a hard-reset (press volume up/down buttons together for several seconds until the phone restarts - this will also create a screen shot, but you can delete that later).

I had the same problem and the other day when I was checking my Internet browser settings the adobe Flash button was off and I had never changed those settings so was wondering if that was the reason some videos were not playing?
