I realize this is commonplace on the virtual keyboard devices, but I only just started doing this after 2 months with a Passport lol

Swipe down to toggle through number pad and other special characters, instead of hitting the little '@123' button like a noob... like I was doing...

Wow, I would assume you would've figured that out sooner. I obsessively watched videos about the Passport before I owned it so there was very little I had to figure out on my own.

I wish BlackBerry would allow further customization of keyboard swipes. For example, divide the keyboard into halves. Let the user decide which side wants to toggle @123 lock and the other to scroll through character lists.

So, for example, I swipe down on the left half to lock @123 and swipe down on right half to toggle through character lists. I can't stand how you can't lock the @123 without using the on screen button.

It's so much faster and doesn't break your typing flow to just use the keyboard.

How about if your on the web browser and instead of tapping on the back button, you swipe it up.

Give it a try. Let me know what you think.

This is a great feature, I used it all the time on the Z30.
Too bad it doesn't erase like the Z30... when you swipe black it erases a word; but on the Z30 if you use two fingers to swipe back, it erases two words; and it you swipe back with three fingers it erases three words.

Umm, yes it does. You can use one finger on the keyboard, but for multiple fingers, use the virtual keyboard.

Ya, you can delete as many words with as many fingers as you can fit on that VKB. It's not that efficient though and would prefer the capability on the PKB. Doubt it can register multitouch though.

It actually CAN register multitouch. At least 2 points. You can pinch to zoom in the browser using the keyboard on 10.3.2

Mine won't perform pinch to zoom anywhere. Running 10.3.2.2134 leak.

It will in the BlackBerry Browser.

For those that are just now realizing the swipe down function of the keyboard, I suggest reading the keyboard sticky at the top of the forum, there's some good stuff in there. It's been there all along
