    The only app you can use is some kind of app that connects using WiFi. Passport doesn't have the infrared sensor for any kind of infrared app.

    It would depend on what type of tv you are trying to connect to. I have an older LG smart tv and the LG TV REMOTE app works great for it. connects quickly and using the screen as a track pad is way more efficient than the regular remote.
