Being ex-Telstra staff I knew the staff didn't know much about what was coming in and when unless they asked a million questions like myself, so I went to their flagship store on Bourke street in Melbourne. I knew if anyone would know it would be the tech's. So I went to speak with them. While waiting I asked one of the manager/team leaders/etc about it and was told "I don't have a clue about any BlackBerry's. Once the tech was free I said simply "will you guys be selling the Passport?" and he responded "yes, definitely"

Said the BlackBerry rep had spoke with them, and they will be testing it. He did said however, there wasn't a definite date, or price, but it would be December, because it has to be tested on Telstra's current network, and some new network they are implementing.

I'm fine to wait the bit longer and let my contract actually run out, so this is good news to me.

If it's between telstra and optus, I would definitely go to telstra, especially with the driving for work to far away places, heaps better coverage (according to the marketing, LOL! )

Haha, I can definitely say, I've experienced optus in an area where telstra didn't have an issue, and it was frustrating to say the least.

Good news for BlackBerry. Telstra did a far better job selling the first BB10 devices than Optus and I would hope they do the same with the Passport.

I tweet them weekly. Same old empty response each time. 7 BB's over 12 years and believe nothing compares yet the Passport launch and access in Australia is a mess and I've written to John Chen listing all the issues. Australia needs cleaning up and the BlackBerry loyal plus people who I have managed to switch from iTOY to BB10 deserve a whole lot better. It's pathetic.

Spoke to a person in my local store and she suggested that they should be able to get the passport through their business division. She also said that they probably won't stock it in the store as it was too niche for most of their customers.
