I travel a lot and carry Passport and Laptop. I don't mind to add a tablet since for movie or Kindle, 8" tablet is probably good for my eyes, and I don't have to hold the phone. I never put down Passport, but am now concerned it might not good for my shoulder and neck. With a tablet as an extended screen, I could just use Passport to control without looking at it. Yes. Something like PlayBook. Is there any tablet out there which will fit this purpose, such as Fire HDX 8, Surfaces, etc?

There is a micro USB to hdmi cable you can get! However I'm not quite certain that tablets have the correct periferals to do what you want? Do the surface pro's have hdmi outlet!?

Good question. I hope someone who owns a Surface Pro could shed a light?

I can't say that I've ever seen a tablet with a video input...

If Surface pro could read my Passport as a mass storage drive, or as a folder, it might be what I am looking for.

I dont know of a tablet that has HDMI input. There would be some android apps that allow you to control like a remote but I dont know of anyone currently with this type of setup

You can use blend on the tablet to access info/files from the passport. This would probably be the best option.

Blue Touchpad is a native BB10 app that connects to any bluetooth enabled device, and turns your phone into a remote keyboard/touchpad for the other device. I use it with my Asus VivoTab (Win8.1), and it works flawlessly. The great thing about the Q10 and Passport is that the keyboard and touchpad work at the same time, whereas a Z phone would have to switch modes.

The only issue, and the dev has promised to address it in the next update, is that some of the BlackBerry typing features - auto capitalization and double space for a period - have been disabled. We will have an option to enable them in the next update. Word substitutions and swipe up to select words work in the current version.

One of the best purchases I made in BlackBerry World! I use it to connect to other bb10 phones, tablets, computers and even android phones! Tried to connect to ps3 but it wouldn't discover my phone as a bt device for some reason.
