    System on adrenaline. Battery down from full to 20% under 8 hours.-img_20150622_234341.png

    As you can see, system has been on overdrive since about 19:50 mark and has been persistent for the past 4-5 hours. I notice some more-than-usual heat on my phone as well. Any clue to the cause of this?

    Did you just update the OS?
    Try a hard reset.

    It seems to happen sometimes to all devices, not just BB10.
    I believe the OS gets itself into a loop of checking something via the radio, emails, attachments, updates or whatever and doesn't finish for a good long while (6 to 12 hours?). Then suddenly it stops and all is normal again.
    I have tried the hard reset the last few times on my Z10, Passport, 9860 and it made no difference until the device decided it had got hold of the information it required. When it happens now I just keep charging it.

    You're probably right. Battery stopped draining after its done what it's doing. Wish we could know exactly what's going on in the background though. It would suck if it happened when you're on the go and won't able to charge your phone for the day.
