Good morning, I am moving from a Nokia Lumia 1020 to a BB Passport. I finally figured out how to basically eliminate all background data on the 1020, and before I activate the passport, I want to know how to block all background data. With the 1020 the main problem was that texts were automatically backed up.
Is this something I need to look out for with the BB-P?
What settings do I need to adjust to restrict all (or most) background data?

In your Passport go to "device monitor", "cpu", and close any apps you dont want running in the background. Also in "Apps permission" , for individual apps, diable "run when minimized". It saves battery.

I would second the settings -> apps permission area.

You can select permissions by category and run in background is the other one I would be looking at.

The ability to deny apps the ability to do things without your permission is one of the good things about bb10.
