    Hi,
    I was just wondering how much battery most people see being used by the standby process in the device monitor? Mine is around 20% for a 24 hour period, this may be normal but this is my joint highest along with the system and I can't understand why being on standby would use so much battery?

    It also seems to use mobile and WiFi as well which seems odd.

    The phone checks for mail on a periodic basis - the frequency is modifiable on Settings. Depending on number of accounts and signal quality in your area, that could be a significant amount of activity.

    Also, you could have a number of 'headless' processes running that all conspire to run the battery down.

    I think you could be right as the CPU usage is highest during the day when I am using the phone. I have no mail setup and no android apps but I have a few headless apps so this may be a cause. I will try turning some off and monitor it.

    As mentioned previously I have no email accounts or android apps so why do I lose battery to pim services and android player and android media?
