Verify the number and frequencies SQW100-1 is for europe and middle east I think... so you must look for that number as it is different from Z10. My Q10 is 100-3 and my Passport is 100-1.

You should verify your country and number.

    Workhorse: BlackBerry|Q10, SQN100-3, OS 10.2.1.2941; Power Workhorse: BlackBerry|Passport, SQW100-1, OS 10.3.0.675; Germany.

I bought it off Amazon SQW100-1 10.3.0.908 it updated to that when I set it up. How ever I didn't get to chose the model that's what I was sent

I'm guessing I should have got a SQW 100-3? They don't list model number on amazon they make it sound like it works on any gsm

Don't listen to ANISHAB, there is only one Passport to rule them all!
Check settings - security and privacy - sim card, scroll all the way down and check is there three times unlocked.
You may have a faulty nano sim or faulty phone, **** happen.

OK yeah all three says unlocked, I just bought the sim from gamestop. However I'm going to visit the actual cricket store to see if they can get it running because I entered the imei on their checker and it said it was good to go.

The variant codes aren't consistent with different models. (That would be too easy.) For example, my Z10 for Telus (or for Bell, Rogers, T-Mo USA, AT&T) is STL100-3. My Z30 is STA100-5, which is for mostly the same carriers again, except an STA100-1 is ideal for AT&T. Make sense? Nope it doesn't.

Anyway SQW100-1 is the only currently released Passport variant. See more details in this Sticky Thread right here in Passport Forum at the top:

    http://forums.crackberry.com/blackbe...encies-961279/

To see Sticky Threads in CB10, drag down a forum listing slightly and select the tab at the top.

What variant of Z10 did you use? What service did you get with that Z10 on Cricket? i.e. HSPA, LTE, 2G / EDGE, etc?

I also discovered that my z10 is still active so their rep I spoke to on the phone didn't do anything to change my account to the nano sim number I bought today

That's the issue then. Some carriers have a self-serve site to switch your active SIM card. No idea if Cricket has one or if you have to wait until morning to call them.

    STL100-3 getting LTE
Then you should be totally fine on SQW100-1. Just get that new nano-SIM activated and you'll be good to go!

Yep. For future reference, if it isn't Verizon or Sprint, use the SQW100-1.

This is the only model BlackBerry released for Passport up to now. It looks there would no other model would be released until BlackBerry decide to make a Blackberry for Verizon. Get a new sim card, problem would be solved.

Well, AT&T is pushing out the SQW100-3 soon, with worse international roaming. It's for people who aren't allowed near sharp corners.
