OS10 might be great, but who would take the time and wright native progs for such a "small" os? As mentioned above, the only way is to use android apps, which ones work of course in BB devices, but natives ones are always better... but the one reason i choose BB over android is the different OS and that would have included app, game support etc but i am there where i came from, still have to use google play, gmail acc etc to get even some simple and useful apps for my needs...

Are you kidding? We all love our blackberry's but let's not make legacy statements like these. Or tablets are a fad.

App economy is stronger than ever.

and Blackberry said these particular apps would be available on the Passport .... when???? Much has been written about the apps needing to catch up to the Passport due to specs... especially the screen ratio... guess the OP missed the memo.... really would behove the OP the travel to the land of Android where all is sunshine and no app issue whatsoever

Apps will always be a problem with some people.

BlackBerry just will not have them.

    People need to understand this.

Then at least google play should be officially supported, because amazon appstore is a joke in my opinion, not even half of the apps are offered what i would need... fortunately there is the "cobalt way" to get google play, but it shouldnt be the real solution for my,our needs...

Snap does a good job with getting Android apps on BB10, the problem is that users cannot control app permissions (just like on Android phones). I had to remove those apps and hope BB10 will come up with a good solution to control Android app permissions (like it does with native apps) in the future updates. The control should be in the OS not "an app controls an app".

BlackBerry is a secure tool, and I'm glad we have this choice.
