    You can use Facebook to compose a message from the hub and copy and paste the emojis.. but that's the only way I see how to enter generic emojis on bb10

    IIRC I'm quite sure that those things in bbm aren't emojis, they are emoticons. Emojis are standardized and emoticons aren't. Correct me if I'm wrong

    You can see most of them (And most of them are also black and white), but you can't send them using the keyboard. You have to copy paste from a different app. Sucks, I known.

    I don't get why they are black and white though.. they all show properly within the Facebook compose screen.. so full emojis support are built into Facebook but not the os, I guess?

    It's not integrated in the OS. That's the difference.

    No emojis are a standard library of symbols common across platforms. Ever have one if your iFriends send you a message containing a weird question mark symbol? That is BB10 failing to decode their emoji character

    Absolutely not emoji. Emoji is a universal standard, BlackBerry keeps pushing their own 2005 windows live messenger emoticons that no one without a BlackBerry or BBM can see.
