    Reboot the device. Have seen this when I gave Skype a run. The Android port of Skype is a pile of crap. Unless they bring something native, I continue to ignore Skype.

    Reboot didn't work....deleting Skype from BlackBerry world seemed to do the trick....no idea why...battery is back to normal.

    Another thing to try will all android apps is to close them completely from activity monitor.
