I was hoping they release a upmarket version of this phone or like a porsche 9984 where the metal is gold and the back is leather. nothing sexier than glass, metal and leather combo.
or hopefully someone make a leather back cover for our phone with NFC

every time i pick up my phone, i cant help but to notice that something is missing from the good old days like where the Flagship Bold had leather backing.

Sad how BlackBerry moves away from leather and Samsung picks it up for its galaxy note series.

I would much rather have a glass weave back cover. My ideal Passport would be white front, black glass weave back cover, and QI charging.

Leather would be nice, but I do like the feel of the current one. It's grown on me.

The Back of the BlackBerry is a epic problem and also people seeing my Phone turn down with the screen seeing a dirty back cover. Sweat, fat and what more is viewable on the back. So I decided to order a BlackBerry Hard Case for my 600,00 Phone.

Glass weave like Q10 would be nice. Or carbon fiber. That'd be bad-a$$

I'm OK with the soft touch, but as they're clearly having issues with spotting I do wish they had used different material.

I like it as-is, but I'm dead sure there'll be a 9984 or something with a Porsche Design take on this form.

I'm not a fan of snap backs either. I miss the 9700. Leather back that slid and clipped into place

Yeah, it is impossible to keep clean, although it is very grippy (important for such a wide flat back). If they had used the Q10 or Z30's glass weave, it would have been very prone to slipping and being dropped.

Been using the hard shell anyway, so the naked back cover only shows it face during show-and-tell time... lol

The back material is really good for grip.... combined with its weight, the phone stays put on my hands...

I prefer the current playbookish back cover - provides a better grip compared to others. Also, it's classy in an understated way. Glass-weave looks beautiful but feels relatively slippery and plastic-ky. Not a fan of leather one at all.

The phone feels really solid in hand, the weight, the back material, the stainless steel frame, etc. all contribute to this feel. I wouldn't change a thing.

This. I miss the glassweave, too. But I'd gladly take a leather rear cover as well. Whatever they're currently using on the Passport does not feel like it'll hold up for long.
