So I took a video and was sending it via text and it looks like it sends a downgraded version. Not very clear. Also when receiving a video it looks like a bad quality. Is there a setting I'm missing to receive higher quality video?

Via text as in MMS? I can imagine the videos being compressed, which results in lower quality video.

Sending a picture through a text message will also result in a low quality picture being sent.

MMS has strict size limitations. You should use Email if you don't want to reduce quality.

Did you use iMessage on your iPhone? Because it's not compressed if you send it through iMessage.

Used a mixture of imessage and regular text. I also messaged @BlackberryHelp

Waiting to see what they say about this issue.

MMS has a size limit of 300KB and if I am not mistaken it's set by the carriers. A video of 300KB would be of really low resolution. Now how come you where able to send larger videos on iPhone? Because more likely iPhone switched to iMessage which is a totally different thing compared to MMS. iMessage's equivalent in Blackberry is BBM. And since BBM is now cross platform, it may be a better choice to send large files. iMessage only works on file to file trasfers.

I actually just been seeing when people have been sending me messages with video in it and the square at the top right that resizes the image from large to small actually makes it better. So can this be the video resizing to the passport screen? If so, why does it get all blurry when I send a video that I made?

I've gotten numerous complaints about the quality of the videos I've sent via mms. Never happened on my q10 or note 3.
