I have an sd card in my blackberry, and have connected to it using the link software. I drag and drop my documents on to there. If my memory card is removed from my phone, can the documents be accessed by simply putting the memory card into a pc. or is it password protected?

If you didn't encrypt your sdcard then yes it can be accessed.

And if you do encrypt but for whatever reason need to access those files in any other fashion but with your Passport, you won't be able to.

There are a heck lot of threads on this here. Please look them over on the benefits (issues and horror stores).

On a side note: Sporting 32GB Internal Memory, I'd keep the important files off the SD card (and keep internal memory encrypted). If possible, a secure cloud service is better than an SD card for this (I suggest BOX).

It can be removed and accessed on a PC.

Encrypt the SD card if you want to make sure that the card can only be read from your device.
