Trying to scan food bar codes through My Fitness Pal or Fitit app is near impossible on my Passport. Completely blury and the camera is unable to focus.

Will try to change the camera settings but curious if others are experiencing the same issue?

That's a known issue with android apps, so far no good workaround available that I know of

I only experience issue when scanning in low light.
The scanner feature seems to need a lot of light to read the bar code.
    MyFitnessPal version is 1.0.0.5492.

Interesting. I just got done using it in the fitbit app to scan some of the foods I ate this evening and it worked fine. However I'm running 10.3.0.908. Regression maybe?

Interesting indeed. I am not reverting back to. 908 so I will have to tinker.

Off topic, do you find most of your foods in Fitbit? I read that it was fairly limited albeit growing. Hence I linked Fitbit with MFP. Let me know.

    Thanks

The default Smart Tag app works fine for me, although this is a native one.

The only food I've not found in fitbit was the cherry filled chocodile that someone bought me. Chocodiles are rare enough that it didn't surprise me at all. It's been a long time since I've used myp, but from what I remember it's easier to find food with fitbit. With fitbit's new 'add foods not in database' thing it won't be long until it is even more rounded.
