I am using the passport upgraded from Z30 on the passport i am only able to see text messages from that last 10 days and i don't see a setting to increase the days to store messages ex. 1 month . On my Z30 I have text messages saved for more than 6 months. So my question are you able to increase the time limit to store text messages on the Passport or is it a standard 10 day with 10.3. Thanks.

Where do I go to change the settings to get a longer date range. I went to text messages settings and tried all the actions there and the advanced setting but don't see anywhere to change it. Or am I looking in the wrong spot.

Text messages don't delete.

For emails you can set a time frame for them to disappear, but not for texts.

Your texts will stay forever until you manually delete them. (or your phone crashes because you never delete your texts and they will continuously take up room)

Did you Transfer your older Text messages from the Z30?
I use an app called SMS Backup & Restore to transfer my SMS/MMS from one BB10 phone to another.

I did restore from my Z30 but I think I will be downloading the sms backup i just read the app and seems to do what I need. Thanks everyone for your help and advice. I had 4 Z30's I went through in 8 months so anything could have happened to files when I restored to the passport. Thanks again for your replies.
