Hi,

Every now and again my passport only plays a couple of seconds of the ringtone before silence. Any ideas why?

My music is not on the sd card and it doesn't happen all the time.

No, it just cuts off without me touching the screen.

I read that ringtones get cut when the BlackBerry is picked up. Apparently it's a feature. Not 100% sure tough. Call yourself a few times and see if it happens when the phone's just laying somewhere.

What OS version are you using btw?

Thanks all, I am running official 10.3 and you are right that this seems to be a feature as it does seem to stop if I pick the phone up or touch the screen which is probably happening as well when I take it out of the case on my belt as well. Can it be turned off, don't mind if not just want to know?

Maybe the ringtones are custom ones you made and they are not full length?
Check the original file through File manager.

Disable your automatic call recording option if you have any call recorder application.

Exactly, sounds like an app thing. A blocked number via the " add number to a ( ignore this call ) contact " sometimes will let a blocked number start a ringtone for a less than second before killing it. Thats rare though.
