Mine arrives Monday but the supply seems pretty plentiful. Anyone know how many are being produced for the "Limited Edition Blackberry Passport - Red "? If it's limited only by demand it's not really limited.

Doesn't it dilute the value of your brand and its existing customer base? Well, it certainly could discourage customer who just bought a new phone and retailers who have a bunch of your plain version on their shelves. In other words, your most loyal customers and your best retailers.

I think placing a number whether 50 or 5000 is a good thing! People have a choice as to spending a premium for something quite limited...however with the red I haven't seen any numbers just the term Limited being used by Blackberry.

Look at apple. Their phones have many variants and options.
As a consumer i think it is good i have options.
Samsung do the same thing. Different colours etc.

I'm glad BlackBerry stuck to one GB size and left it to just the colours...

I'm in the UK and no red version here yet which is annoying me. Really want one so i can sell my black one. But nothing.
They should release all in one go.
Wife wants the classic. Found out new colours are coming but again no word on when! As usual UK probs get them months after.

I been thinking about how long my Passport will last. What is the expected operational life of the device? 2, 3, 5, 10 years? Maybe I'll get a white Passport and shelve it for a few years. That way I'm guaranteeing my Passport experience for the future.

So my new Redberry arrived! It's a much brighter red than I envisioned but it really is a great looking phone. So regardless of how Limited Limited really is (Shop Blackberry still has stock) if your wondering should you pull the trigger on Red I would say it's Bold (no pun intended) bright and quite classy with the black metal frame and frets so go for it! I'm glad I did. Anyone looking for a mildly used Black Blackberry Passport
