After a brief hiatus with Samsung, I wish to return to BB. I really like the Passport rather than the Priv, but I am spooked by hints from John Chen that BB10 will be dropped, and I am left wondering about the longevity of such a purchase. Any help greatly appreciated.

The OS even though it will most likely be unsupported in the near future, other than minor updates, is fairly mature at this point. If you need a lot of apps, then it will be a hit or miss proposition, unless you install SNAP or Cobalt's solution for the 'Google play store' and even then, BB OS10 will only get android apps that are compatible with Android 4.3 and below so eventually it will be a crap shoot.

With that said, I plan on picking up a used Z30 to replace my Z10 with. I know it's a sign of illness on my part but I really do enjoy using OS10.3.2 so for me it's not an issue. The choice comes down to what your needs are. Mine are light. What are yours?
