I find when I have my passport in my pocket for a prolonged period of time and I get a message, when I take it out and swipe up it will not let me. I have to press the top button first then swipe up to open the phone. Is this a problem or a setting? Thanks in advance.

Rather not.... are you sure you swipe from the very bottom of the screen?

Mine does this as well. Swipe-to-wake is ON. It just takes more effort to wake the phone with a swipe up after the phone has been sitting a while. Sometimes as many as 5-6 swipes. Before anyone chimes in with gesture lessons, this is my third BB10 phone, I'm quite used to the motion. It's not a big deal, as hitting the power button achieves the same result easily, but it is worth noting.

Also, today the screen wouldn't come back to life when I moved it away from my face to end a phone call. Had to hit the power button to wake the screen so I could hit END.

And yes, I still want to be able to legally marry this phone.

This phone is a gem. I agree. It must be legal to marry this device. LOL

I see the same thing every now and then, though not related to being in a pocket. I think it is just a software glitch.

I don't think it's a glitch. I saw it with the S3 as well. It's in a power saving mode so it takes a second for the cpu to get going again.

I don't mind it because it gives me 15 hrs of battery life

As for myself on battery, I disconnected it this morning at 7:24am and its only at 58% with fairly heavy usage. Its 11:54pm. I'm pleased with the performance!

To save even more battery life, turn off swipe to wake. Granted the passport has a good enough battery, but turning it off was a life saver on the z10

I like the swipe to wake. I am just wondering why it won't work when it stay in your pocket for five minutes. Thats the issue.
