    Hi,

Since updating the OS to 10.3.0.1418 the Wi-Fi keeps dropping on my passport.

I see that there are a few threads regarding this on the web but no real answers (I can't go fiddling with the wireless settings at work so can't try turning off and on n wifi)

Is it possible to downgrade the OS to 10.3.0.1154 (I think it was) and if so how.

I am familiar with side loading and have installed snap but clear instructions would be appreciated.

    Kind regards

    Martin

What you need is an autoloaer.

Download the autoloader from here on CB, or rather Mega.

    Passport OS 10.3.0.1418

Once downloaded, use Link to backup your device. Close Link, double click the loader file and let it do its thing(might take up to an hour to complete). Device will reboot and the loader will load that OS, then reboot again. After its finished you should be back at the setup steps and tutorials. Make sure at the BBID sign in screen, you sign in(If you dont sign into your BBID you won't be able to load your backup. Link and your device need to be signed into your BBID). After the device is back at your homescreen, reconnect to link and load your backup.

    Edit:
Sorry that is the OS you want to downgrade from.

You can go here to look up the OS you want.

Thanks, I will try that later.

Does anyone know if 1154 is the best version to downgrade to or should I consider a leaked update instead.

I am in the UK and the passport is unlocked.

Be careful because the last time I downgraded it wouldn't restore from my backup file because the backup file was. From a newer OS. I had to load the newer OS back on just to get everything back. Maybe it was because I was going from 10.3 to 10.2 but not sure. Oh and I was using the Z30.

Thats exactly the issue. Going from 10.3.1 to 10.3.0 or 10.3.0 to a 10.2.0 OS your backup will not work.

But since he's going from a 10.3.0.xxx OS to a 10.3.0.xxx OS, his backup shouldn't be an issue.

Instead of down grading your OS why not try just a different radio on your device.

A number of people reporting worse user experience after upgrading to 908 which more or less confirm a worse wifi/radio and some other issues. This baffles me as why the worse off upgrade is even pushed? Dont BBRY realize that not all users have the time to experimenting with errors? The very reason people buy PP is for productivity and not to loose more of it!

I am disappointed with this and it cost my satisfaction to the brand few ticks down again which also affect recommendation to the brand.
