HELP

Hi,
I got a brand new blackberry passport silver edition a week ago
And it reboots itself while i'm in browser or having a phone call
Can somebody please help me it's happening 4-5 times everyday
And i'm tired of having this problem

You can do a simple Security Wipe. If after that, the issue still persists, because it's brand-new you may try to have it replaced for a new one; it can be a hardware problem.

Back them up using BlackBerry Link, or on your email.

I don't ever use my email provider to back up my contacts since I only have friends and family on my phone.

As for backing up your contacts and other features, use Blackberry Link to do a full back up.

If your phones brand new you shouldn't have too many pictures, conversations and other data yet. This process shouldn't take too long.

Depending on where you purchased the phone such as ShopBlackberry.com you should be able to call Blackberry tech support which was included in the box if your phone was brand new.

Not because you're not doing it doesn't mean it's a bad thing. If you want to do a security wipe without restoring, this will be beneficial since simply adding your email account automatically syncs your contacts to your device.

If that phone is really brand new, then that's a return - no question.

You can use link to backup your stuff. I personally favour using an ms exchange server to store contacts, rather than storing them locally.

I have the exact same thing!!!!! So annoying minimum of once per day it randomly restarts, mid text, mid BBM, mid browse etc etc....

Keep waiting for an update to see if that helps...maybe I should ask for a new one.

Well..amazon have accepted a return, so I've ordered a new one from shop BlackBerry, when that arrives i'll return the amazon 'faulty' one. REALLY hope I don't have any more problems!!!
