Guys I really need your help urgently!

Im using a red passport with all the latest software...

I backed up my device yesterday..
Did a security wipe... phone restarted.. i entered everything correctly

Then the problem came when im trying to restore.
Link found my back up but it shows an error with no chance to restore cause it says my bbid associated with this backup doesnt match the bbid on my device.. its the same device im using with same bbid...

Im lost now.. please help.. im losing sleep over this..!

Guys...

I have figured it out around the problem... Here is a solution for future bb users.. I hope this helps as I am up trying to do this for more than 24 hours ...

1st step = Reload your software from bblink to phone
2nd step = after reload software to phone remove / forget your device from bblink
3rd step = sign out from bb link
4th step = uninstall bblink
5th step = now only do your phone set up... " other threads suggested you skip the bbid section but with the new current software there is no way u can bypass this" while doing this set up... install your bblink in your computer again
6th step = ensure u finish your phone set up... and you are in your home menu.. now set up your bblink by entering password... finish the 2 steps and click finish
7th step = bblink should be able to connect your phone already... immediately go to restore.. bblink will find your file and resore!

This was a painful step for me..

p/s never ever do a security wipe again lol

1. Reinstall BB Link
2. Restore Blackberry OS
3. Sign in to both with the same BB id.
4. Restore the Backup

Tried your way too but it didn't work for the most current Os for some reason.
