Couldn't resist the temptation of trying out the passport! Went to the mall and found one working (without Internet though) and it had one of those dumb locks on the back so at least I was able to get a feel for it. I stood there for about 20 minutes and tried a few things. I really wanted to try the keyboard. The space bar through me off as its not in my usual comfort zone but wasn't that bad. I looked at blend and played with the camera. I pretended to send a few text messages and kinda thought the keyboard would take some getting used too. At least I know that I don't want one as personally, I felt it was way too big for my daily driver. Now my wait for the classic!

Screen was beautiful. Didn't check speakers. Was pretty much turned off by the size. I was two handing it the whole time but I had too since it had that dumb lock on it! I tried it with one hand but the lock was in the way.

I played with a Passport in a Telus store this morning too. I was quite impressed. Since going all touch I haven't looked back but holding that Passport really made me think.. the browser experience is phenominal with that big screen. The panorama feature worked very well shooting around the mall. It was very fast, very smooth. BlackBerry assistant worked very well (only tested text input so I didn't look like a weirdo in the store lol), I like the new active frame setup that doesn't have multiple pages but rather shrinks 4 of the apps to half size. Looks very slick. 10.3 as a whole is a very attractive OS in a lot of ways except for the home screen icon design and the disappearing bottom bar on some menu screens.

I played with one too at telus since they don't have it yet at bell. The keyboard feel was one of the thing I could not wait to try. I was impressed, it's nothing like the Q10, I did not like that one, but more like I remembered the 9900. So, yeah, as soon as it's available again on shopblackberry I think I'm ordering one. I hope I'll get use to the size.

I went to the Telus store, too, this morning. I asked for a working phone instead of the demo on the table. The keyboard is wider than I thought, much like my Z30 in landscape mode, but it's nice to feel real keys. There would be a learning curve to figure out the keyboard but no big deal really.

The demo in the Telus store I went into was locked in some weird square frame. Couldn't even pick it up. It was covered in greasy fingerprints though, so someone other than me was interested in it this morning.

I also tested it out at the Telus store. I was the first to try it as the rep was still setting it up. I've never had a physical keyboard phone and I love full touch, but this keyboard was quite impressive. Being a flick typist, I found it very easy for typing since it uses the same gestures. The phone didn't feel as large as I had thought it would be. The camera is good. Speed was great - no lag at all. 10.3 is good. The screen is nice, but a fingerprint magnet. The back feels similar to the Z10, but slightly smoother and without the dimples. It didn't feel too heavy either. The camera protrudes slightly, but it's barely noticeable.

I was able to type one handedly without much difficulty thanks to the flick predictive text (I was recording my typing with my Z10 for a friend). If you have large hands (I have average size), I think you'll get along fine. It is wide, but the screen makes it worth it.

I won't be buying it as I'm waiting for a Z10 replacement (considering the Z30 if I can find a good deal), but this is a great device.

Haha I did the same thing today. Then another guy walked in and we both had a great time with the passport. He had a Z30 and a Q10 and was convinced to buy as was I. Keyboard with definitely take some getting used to, I'm not sure if I can but I'll get it either way. It had Wifi and I tested the speakers right away. Sounds amazing and the camera is amazing as well. I'm mostly upset with Rogers tho. Make me wait a week, ugh
