So picture messages are showing up blurry on people's phone. Is there a setting I can change to prevent the pictures from being compressed?

Next BBM will allow for automtically getting/sending high quality images.

For the time being, tell them to ask for the HQ version when needed.

You have a choice of three levels of quality
Once you attach the image (I believe this is what you are referring to) just hit the triple dot and hit image size. Looks like you may have image size as the lowest as default.

That's for emails/bbms I'm talking about text messages.... they seem to be the only ones having issues

Apparently this has been going on since my Z10 just had multiple people tell me this recently. I'm trying to determine whether this is a carrier thing or a BlackBerry 10 thing.

I know if I take the highest quality picture and send it to friends via mms they show up blurry. If I go down to 720p they turn out fine. I don't know why this happens.

This isn't just a Blackberry problem, I had blurry pics on my Android phone in the past too. I keep telling my friends not to compress them but it seems like they didn't know what they were doing either.
