i do not use a password for my pp. i do however occasionally have files that i want to password protect. . does Bb passport have this functionality or is there an app that can do this .

Pretty broad question. What do you want to password protect the files as? There's several ways to password protect a file. Zip files, RAR files etc? Do you need it to be a particular one? Will any of them do?

thanks . no , nothing that exotic . i may have a contract that is a word file that i want to be sure is kept private . or i might have a bunch of pictures that i want to be sure are kept private . just simple stuff like that

For pictures try ''hide photos'' it's free and password protected application.

Be careful as that it's not compatible with BlackBerry's future android devices. At least I haven't found a match.

I don't use a password for my devices, but then again I am waiting to get a fingerprint reader device for a fast unlock. Have yet to be somewhere I needed it. Although everything else is pretty locked up tight.
