    New Passport. Can't connect up with my Gmail account. I go through the motions and after entering my password I end up at the screen where Blackberry would like to: view & manage mail, manage calendars, etc... BUT I can't click ACCEPT. It won't go. It dies here. Tearing my hair out.

    Reset your phone then try adding your email account again.

    Be patient.
    Take a breath.
    Reset your phone as JD mentions.
    It will all work out.

    Stand by...doing soft reset. Darn. FIGS!!! Didn't work. Thanks for the advice. Anyone else got any ideas?

    Did you create a device/app specific password in your Gmail account? You need that if your Gmail account has two step verification.

    It does work. Just takes time. Like everyone has said earlier.

    My solution was to get rid of Gmail and Google in everyway! Did that and am happy for the first time in life!

    I've got 3 Gmail accounts setup, working perfectly fine. When you add the email, does it take you to a Google login page?

    It will work, just enter the email address and will bring you to google log-in page.

    My Gmail account works fine. But I remember when I initially set up the account, it took me to the Google login page to complete the setup.

    I ended up doing a hard reset after backing up my device. Easy as pie after that to set up Gmail. Oh well. Thanks everyone.

    I had the same issues with Yahoo mail web login. I enabled 'Desktop Mode' and all is well.

    Go to Settings on your PC gmail account, Under Change Account Setting is Other Google Account Settings. Click on that and another tab will open. You are now in Account Settings (again; different style), under Signing In, click on Access for Less Secure Apps. Select Enable and then try to set up again. It worked for me.

    Hi there, I switch devices regularly. I find that Gmail never sets up properly when I'm setting a new device up over wifi. This isn't uncommon.
    Just set it up through your regular mobile data, should be fine.

    I immediately added my gmail account when my passport was pulled out of the box, after adding my credentials I was redirected to the gmail login page to verify, that was it.
