I'm an android user in the UK and want to move over to the Passport as soon as I can get my hands on one. I'm a big user of Google apps (maps, Gmail, Google music, chromecast), OneDrive, MS Office, Feedly, yahoo news digest, BBC iPlayer, sky+ and a few banking apps.

I've heard Snap is the best way to install apps on the blackberry. Can anyone let me know if they have tried these apps and how they are finding them.

    Thanks

Google maps works really fine on Passport ! And you can use the mic to search something. Near no lag at loading. Streetview is full ok.

BBC iPlayer works really well. Can't help with the others too much as I don't use them but here is some iPlayer screen grabs:

Is that actual Android app or the browser version? If the former, that's interesting, as it's less than good on 10.2 and I abandoned it to use the browser version instead in the end.

It's the android app I believe as I downloaded it from the Snap app.
Never accessed it through the browser.

You need to download both the iPlayer app as well as the BBC media app which is what it uses to play the video.

    Works really nicely.

    I see that now. Thanks.

Yes, whenever I did that the video wouldn't play, only the sound would. So I gave up with it. But if it works well now maybe I'll reinstall when 10.3.1 drops.

Only issue I'm having is with Snapchat. It works but it informs me about the Google Services every time I use the app, and I have to click off it. It also rotates photos when I take them. I had to find the old Snap2Chat .bar and install that, and even that's not perfect. It would be nice to see a fix, in that we can change photos to 3:4/16:9 when using Snap2Chat.

Scruff, Venmo, Wunderlist, and Duolingo all pretty much work flawlessly for me. Haven't really tried anything else yet.

Will the Passport be able to handle apps that are designed for the next version of Android (L)?

Unfortunately microsoft office doesn't work and I have not found any other way as a single blackberry user at my employer to use sharepoint (hamon.ie is expensive and seems to require bulk user subscriptions)

Finally got my passport today. It's awesome. Still got to get used to the size but she's a beauty!

I've installed Feedly which works great. OneDrive wasn't very good so am sticking with the Blackberry World version. Google Music doesn't let me login, which I'm really disappointed with. Maps works great. When I know more I'll update anyone whose interested
