Could I mount a passport in the official sync pod if I also have the official phone cover (the one with the flick out leg at the back) or must I remove the cover first?

If I mount passport on sync pod in car, assuming I can secure the sync pod, will the phone be secure enough not to fly out when I corner or hit a bump in the road?

The sync pod is not made to be placed in a car. Also no need to remove the back cover on the Passport. The pod has a removable center piece.
