Just wondering how's the startup in comparison to the previous z10 or z30 models and how did it fare against apple and android??

Oh that's different, that would look pretty cool! Or who knows, maybe they'll remove it when final build comes around like the Squircle... God I miss the Squircle...

When you say very slow you must never have used a BBOS phone... now THOSE were slow!

BBOS on BES... sometime it took me 10 minutes!

And it didn't help that you had to reboot the phone regularly

It plays fine on my device. I have URLs set to open 'In App' if that makes a difference. Thanks for it.

Hmmm those extra words would actually help cut the feeling of long waits..

As for startup I think iPhone is still the fastest followed by Android..

I actually quite like the starting when u start up it says blackberry.... if it could stay like that and not show the loading it would be good like apple..

Wonder if there could be any decrease in start up load times.. cause even after its started up.. the bb Os still needs to wait for the hub to start up..

I haven't loaded 10.3.1 but I think the startup text is a good idea. People sometimes complain about the startup time and need to be reminded there's a reason for it.

The text that says "Securing OS..." will quell complaints of long startups. Should be great for the brand, too.

Incase you haven't noticed the fact that BlackBerry is trying to redefine themselves and not be similar to Apple, i doubt they would make it change to that... honestly I like it, it's interactive and still under a minute :P
And the HUB just has to be after bootup, it's managing all messages that your phones ever received and putting them into the list. You'll notice off a fresh install with no backup of sorts it's a little quicker :P

No problem, the lighting was sketchy but you can read what it says in the video at least.

I like having the mini messages at the startup, make the time go quicker imo.

Hence the reason I configured my notebook computer and any servers running GNU/Linux to display boot-up messages rather than any fancy graphical loading screen.

Oh no, I used most of them, and had to battery pull frequently, they are just very slow today compared to other phones, but improving.
