My Passport speakers make hissing noise, most noticeable at low volume. Anyone else have same issue?

Is your device new? i would see about a replacement. Sounds like a hardware issue

Can replace it but my Q10 also has same issue and I read on here people with Z30 have same issue. If it is common issue, then don't see point in replacing it hence asking on here.

With the z30 it's not everyone, my top speaker hisses ever so slightly but my bottom one is fine

My handset speaker sounds good on both Q10 and Passport, just bottom speakers have hissing. If you play any music and then press pause, you can hear the hissing more clearly with speakers close to your ear before speakers turn off.

The Z30 has two Loudspeakers, on the back, one at the top and bottom :P

I see, if you have bottom speaker closer to your ear, do you not notice any hissing?

Nope, only the top speaker seems to hiss, seems their supplier is a bit of a liability.

Seem to only have this issue with BlackBerry phones, was hoping Passport would be better than Q10 I had but it seems worse regarding hissing. I wonder if any other Passport owner has the same issue with speakers close to their ear on low volume most noticeably. Looks like I will need to try and get it fixed / replaced which is a shame as I would rather use it than wait a while for issue to be resolved.
