can anybody tell me how the slimport works on the passport, what I mean by that is, on my z30 able to watch videos on the hdmi port and shut off the screen.

You just need to buy a slimport adapter, I'd suggest getting a sp1004 if you're not buying staight from blackberry.

There have been some issues with compatibility.
