Are there any videos on DIY dissasembly? Or any bbadicts here that took apart SE?

Problem i'm having is that if I press on the back cover next to volume buttons I geta clicky sound as if the cover is not solidly installed, so I fas thinking of either putting a piece of paper behind it or fixing it with glue..

    What do u guys think?

Well I accidentally removed a bit of the back cover when I first took out the SIM cover bit. Popped it right back straight away. So I guess if you try to lift a corner of the back cover at the top it will pop just enough to allow access but careful not to crack anything

Silver edition build is a bit different than original. I'm guessing.

I guess the best video of taking apart the BlackBerry Passport (original) and putting the parts together again is the following at YouTube:

    Just my two pence.

I suggest you don't press the back cover next to the volume buttons. Problem solved.

Your solution is both genius and universally applicable.

Imagine going to the doctor with a broken leg and doctor replies:

'I suggest you don't put any weight on the broken part. Problem solved.'

Wish u all the best in trolling

    You need to lighten up!

Clearly you have never heard the phrase 'don't hold it like that'.

But enough trolling. Seriously, anyone ever took apart their precious SE and can give me some pointers?

Why on earth would you nul and void your warranty on a new phone by taking it apart?

I had to cut my Sim to fit it in and didn't do that great of a job. Needed to open it to get the Sim out. There are three screws by the Sim cover, remove them it will lift: and the back cover comes out. Just some plastic tabs all around that secure it to the frame. Screws are different lengths, make sure you take note of the long one. Up to that point you are pretty safe. That's as far as I went.

So if I understand you correctly I have to first unscrew the three separate crews and that is all that holds the cover in place (except for the additional tabs?).

    Thx for reply

That's right. The screws hold the Sim cover with it tilted up and away the back cover popped out on its own. Just make sure you have all the tabs back in before you tighten the screws back up. That back cover does feel pretty tough though
