    Hi,
I clumsily dropped my AT&T Passport a while back and since then when pressing the 'm' key the result is often multiple m's rather a single one. Is there a way to possibly fix this?

That's called Double Type or DT--a disease commonly found in all PKB. It will likely spread to other keys, so I would suggest to find a good keyboard replacement and have it replaced by a local cell phone services. Or you could try to fix it yourself, using some tutorial videos from YouTube. Up to you.

Failing that, I think you'll likely be forced to buy a new Passport.

My SE got DT since last OS update so I think my problem is sort of software related. It becomes worse when the phone is seemingly slowed down by certain software module. DT happens to all keys randomly.

OS 10.3.2.2813 has the strongest algorithm to combat double typing. After that version, they backed it off a bit.

It is still a hardware problem. Different OS releases have different timing for the keyboard to help the double type issue. They changed the timing on the last two releases so double typing is more noticeable.

It is sad. It is now barely usable.

Tell us which OS you are using. I reverted back to 10.3.2.2813 which has the timing set a little better for those with the double type issue than 2876 or 2888.

How old is it? They'll replace it if it's under warranty (1 yr I think)
