Hello everyone!
Has anyone experienced any keyboard issue with your Passport? This is my first time using a blackberry and i purschased mine brandnew off Amazon. Out of the box the "U" key was so soft, no membrane pressing sound, no tactile at all. I'm worrying it'll get stuck oneday so i'm about to return it. Any thoughts on my case?
And one more question concerning "U" key: is is the default key to turn lockscreen on when the phone is sleeping? Because none of other key does this excepts power button.

I've had no issues with my keyboard since launch day. It sounds like you might need an exchange.

As to the keyboard shortcuts... Yes, U will awaken it. If the device is password protected, U + enter gives you thepassword screen. K locks the device.

You can see all the shortcuts progremed, and add more. Go to Settings > Shortcuts and Speed Dial. Long press on any letter to add/edit.

Return it. The way how your KB acts is definitely not normal and I would definitely return the phone.

When I got a used passport from shopblackberry my z key was done. My new phone which came from ontario has a rock solid keyboard. I'm glad I returned mine.

Yeah, my spacebar was pushed in on a replacement device I'd gotten. Where it didn't press in, it was basically like a touchscreen where just touching it made it work.

I exchanged it.

Does anybody find that the right side of the keyboard starting with Y and H feels a little worn out compared to the left side? The left side have a nice clicky sound where the right side are quiet and seem a little harder to press since they don't have much of a click(the spacebar as well). I hate to return it since this was just sent as a replacement but it really annoys me when typing.... I'm also getting a rattling sound on about 4 keys....
