Not really a big deal, it doesn't bother me much, but I thought I'd ask if anyone else is experiencing light bleed from the passport keyboard. It's hard to capture on camera, but you can see a couple of different instances of it on this photo here. Very slight, horizontal bars of light underneath some keys. It's pretty noticeable in the dark, which can be annoying, but nothing that would make me want to return the device.

Perhaps when more passports are available I'll take it back to my carrier shop to get it replaced, but for now, no big deal.

Try a hard reboot ie hold both up and down volume together till the BlackBerry logo shows up then let go and let it reboot.

As for the OP??, yes I have a very slight light bleed from my L key on the left hand side of the key. Not a huge issue for me and I can live with it.

Nothing on mine. I wouldn't wait to return if your going to, they only give you 2 weeks I believe.

Yes, same as you OP, but it doesn't really bother me at all, nor interfere with usage.

If others have the same then I won't bother returning. It doesn't affect usage but can be annoying when very dark as it is quite obviously bleeding.

As for returning, in the UK, it doesn't matter when you return the device. If it is a manufacturing fault then we have the legal right to a refund or replacement.

I had an issue with a phone a year into the contract last time (Lumia 920), and it was replaced for free on the spot because it wasn't my fault.

Few lights spots are little bit visible on my Passport's keyboard too, but only in dark night and If I am on bed and distance between eyes and keyboard is about 15cm (6inches).
    That's not issue for me.

I do notice a bit of light bleeding out here and there. Some bleeding actually come from random areas of the phone, like the USB port, etc. Not always noticeable and does not hamper performance. So I'm letting this go.

I've got vertical light bleed in between my W and E keys. It is very slight.

More so noticeable is light bleed between the sides of the keyboard and the stainless frame. Right next to my Q key on the left side, and two points on the right... next to P and Backspace.

It kind of depends on the angle you look from. If you tilt your phone a little bit you will see

Nope, I don't have vertical light bleed, just horizontal. It appears a lot of us have these issues...perhaps lazy manufacturing...

I think this is not a major issue as the keys needs little space between them and the bezel so that they can be pressed properly. I don't have a Passport though. Just a thought.

If it only happens in some devices then clearly there is a problem. It's not too big a deal but paying hundreds for such a premium device, I don't expect these issues to arise.

I have some vertical light bleed near the stainless steel frame (to the left of the A key and right of the backspace key). It hasn't bothered me much. My Q10's light bleed was far more pronounced between all the keys so this doesn't bug me at all.

While we're on the topic of light bleeds, does anybody else's Passport have a light bleed above the notification LED when it's blinking? Again, it's nothing that bothers me much, but just curious to find out.

Same here - expect it's to the upper left of the A key, between the metal band and frame. The other space is in the exact same place you've indicated, next to the backspace key.

Got them horizontally above K and under P, and on either side of the KB where the second fred (top down) meets the frame.
It's no problem but it obviously a manufacturing problem.
Seeing a similar complaint from another thread, I decided to go really nitpicking. The finding: both camera lens (front and back) are not centrally aligned in the round openings of the glass but are more to the right side. The back camera is about 1 mm off to the right. So precision build may not be a thing for BBRY. But it doesn't matter, I love my Passport anyway.
