Dropped my Passport OG on the ground today, display got cracked, but it's still working flawless. Is it possible to change only the glass or I need to replace the whole display?

Also, are there any display codes or serial numbers which I'should be aware of when ordering a new part? Are all the editions of the OG version the same regarding the display type?

Hello, you will need to replace the whole LCD screen. I had the same issue. And after the research and searching the best version of LCD for my SQW100-1, the original cracked screen was vers. 001/111, but I found out that the version 003/111 is generic and fit well for me. You if it is the BlackBerry Passport, but not SE version You can contentedly bought the 003 version

Hello, You will need to disassemble the device and look the version, if it will be the 001/111 You can order the 003/111, but if it will be the 002/111 you need the same 002/111. The whole LCD screen costs aprox 50$, the disassemble procedure was finest described in this video

Niwe walk through BUT, BUT,BUT : do NOT use a cutter or anything metallic: prefer a plastic tool (hint : if you play guitar, a mediator can do).
You certainly don't want to cut anything and metal can lead to unwanted and permanent damages.
Just my 2 cents but if you've never done this, you'd better avoid cutter for ANYTHING in your device.

    Hi Kuruz,

can you please confirm if the LCD you received from etrade is original as the website says?
are you satisfied with the build and display quality?
also, it would be nice to know the shipment time taken + any other customs/duties you had to pay...

    thanks a bunch!
